LG T5100

We still remembered Samsung have brought swivel style camera phone to GSM market first. However, the real advocator for that kind of phone should be Samsung major competitor, LG from South Korea. LG used the similar form factor to produce its first and flagship 1.3 mega pixels camera phone LG T5100. This elegant phone will hit the market from June 2004 in Europe.

Although LG T5100 is a swivel style phone, it still has some improvement in term of outlook, comparing with previous LG and Samsung similar models.

The LG T5100 comes with dual display. The inner one uses 262k colors TFT giving 176 x 220 pixels images.

The swivel front has an outer 65k, 96 x 96 pixels bright display to show caller ID or standby pictures. If you feel Sony Ericsson S700 similar to a real digital camera, LG T5100 also give you such feeling. Turn the handset back, the camera is located on the top. A photo light slot is shown behind. Remember to rotate the display in front of you, the screen is your viewfinder and the back is acting as camera front in such situation. The screen can swivel in 270 degrees; the images can be presented in full screen model. The GSM dualband LG T5100 uses 1.3 mega pixels camera, capable to take 1280 x 960 pixels pictures. The initial specification includes less than 110 grams weight, 40 chords polyphonic ring tones, JAVA MIPD 2.0, and MMS. LG is also the first time to utilize the feature called sound UI. This facilitates the controlling of the telephone functions and navigation in the menu by special, acoustic sound.
