The Motorola A768 announced in 2003 Q1, and released 2004 Q3 in its essence is an Asian version of the Motorola A760 with extended support for Cinese language and handwriting recognition. Being an advanced SmartPhone in PDA format with an external aerial it is appealing to the universal, business, techie user market segment.
The Motorola A768 is a Tri-band GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz mobile phone supporting GPRS Class 10 (3+2, 4+1), with data speed 32 - 48 kbps data transfer. It also features SMS, EMS, MMS mobile messaging and supports T9 predictive text input as well as Instant Messaging functionality. The Motorola A768 provides internet connectivity with e-mail support, WAP v. 2.0 browser and xHTML browser. PC connectivity of the device is supported with RS232 and USB cable connection, Infrared (IrDa) and Bluetooth™ wireless connection.
