Samsung SGH A800

Samsung SGH-A800 is a dual band mobile phone with an extremely lightweight clamshell style body. Among this phone's other useful features there is also an integrated WAP browser, voice control, active flip, EMS messaging capability, voice memo recorder, and a choice of polyphonic ringtones.

This phone has the usual clamshell feature of dual display screens. There is an internal monochrome LCD display with a screen resolution of 128 x 128 pixels, which handles all the menus, pictures and other phone information. On the outside, a smaller external monochrome display provides you with the means to see who is calling, and it also shows the time and date.

Being EMS enabled the A800 gives you the capability to send and receive combined messages containing pictures, animations, and melodies, as well as text. This EMS feature means you also have the ability to download new content such as more pictures and melodies, and the chance to personalise the phone's display with new screensavers or wallpapers, as well as offering the possibility to find some new polyphonic ringtones.

On the entertainment side there are 3 games loaded in the phone, although it is not possible to download any more. In addition, the A800 comes with a useful organiser application, including features such as a calendar, personal memos, to-do list, conversion tool and calculator, as well as a timer and alarm functions. This phone also provides you with a large capacity for up to 2,000 entries in its phonebook.

As the A800 is equipped with a WAP browser, it is possible to use it for accessing the mobile Internet, and to view the information and use the services provided by the many WAP sites currently available.

For connectivity the A800 can be linked up to a compatible PC using a data cable, which then enables you to transfer data to or from the phone and to synchronise any personal information that you use.
