Samsung SGH D410

Samsung SGH-D410 is a tri-band cameraphone for worldwide use, which comes with a slide down section that reveals the keypad area when you need to use it. The phone's mechanism also acts as an active slider, i.e. the phone switches on or off (when answering or terminating calls) simply by sliding the phone open or closed. However, the mobile phone can also be operated in the closed position when you only need to access the outside buttons.

Useful features on this phone are its ability to record and playback video clips, a voice memo recorder, built-in GPRS and WAP technology, the ability to send and receive MMS multimedia messages, a choice of polyphonic ringtones, and the JavaTM capability.

The integrated camera has a resolution of up to VGA standard (640 x 480 pixels) and it offers several options, such as its 4x digital zoom, adjustable exposures and special effects, plus the opportunity to take stills, multishot or video. The camera can also be swivelled through 180 degrees, which means the screen can act as a viewfinder when you take pictures of yourself, as well as when photographing the views around you.

The Samsung D410 has a large LCD screen with a good resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, and it supports a massive 262,144 colours. This high quality display is an asset for playing games, using the menus or for browsing Web pages. On this display you can view the pictures you take with the integrated camera, edit them and then send them as part of a MMS message with sounds you have recorded. Alternatively, you might use your pictures as wallpapers.

With its Java capabilities you can run Java applications and games on this phone, and then download more via WAP. Downloadable polyphonic ringtones are also possible, although lots of high quality ringtones are already preloaded into the phone.

The Samsung D410 is GPRS and WAP enabled to provide a faster response and higher data rates when accessing the mobile Internet. Further connectivity is provided by the infrared wireless link, which allows you to connect with compatible computers and PDAs, so that you can update your files or exchange data. A full email option is also available using the IMAP4 and POP3 protocol standards.
