Samsung SGH V200

Samsung SGH-V200 is a tri-band clamshell design cameraphone suitable for global roaming. This model includes a number of useful features, such as its integrated GPRS and WAP technology, MMS multimedia messaging, active flip, and a good choice of polyphonic ringtones. Three games and a personal organiser application also come preloaded in the mobile phone.

As with many clamshell mobile phones, the V200 contains dual displays. There is an internal TFT colour LCD screen, which has a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and the capability to reproduce up to 65,536 different colours. The smaller, external monochrome screen is used to display the caller's identity as well as the date and time. There is also the possibility to personalise the appearance and sound of this phone by downloading new wallpapers, screensavers and ringtones.

The V200 has an integrated camera with digital zoom facility, and it is made more versatile by the ability to rotate the camera through an angle of 180 degrees, so that it is easy to take self-portraits as well as to snap pictures of what is in front of you. You can even include the pictures you have taken with the phone's camera into your MMS messages. With its MMS capability this phone can send and receive messages containing a combination of images, sounds and animations, as well as the standard text.

The integrated GPRS technology provides the user with fast data transfer, and an “always on” connection where you only pay for the amount of data that you actually use. The addition of WAP means that you can take advantage of the mobile Internet, and browse for the information and services that you need. There are now many WAP sites available to the mobile phone user, which should result in you finding the content you require, whether it is news, sport, traffic, stock markets, entertainment or weather information.

The V200 also includes wireless connectivity via its infrared port, which gives you the ability to link up to compatible PCs, PDAs or other devices, and to then exchange pictures, sounds and files. In addition, there is the alternative option to connect the phone to a PC using a data cable, and you can then transfer your files and data by the normal wired
